Mr. Ed Y. Li is the founder of IW Capital and a Partner of IW Ventures New York. He has extensive Wall Street experience as a Managing Director in hedge funds and financial risk management, including at Lehman Brothers and other international banks. Dr. Li co-founded FinGuests, a New York–based financial community, and is the author of Farewell, Lehman Brothers. He is also Co-Founder of the Omaha Value Investing Center and Co-Founder of the Omaha Million Way Foundation. With more than 30 years of experience at AT&T Bell Laboratories and in the New York financial industry, Dr. Li has long focused on financial risk management. In the late 1990s, he was part of the founding team of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and served as a leader of the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) program. Dr. Li earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Sichuan University, and later received his Master’s in Mathematics and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Penn State University.
