Dr. Gong Changzhen is the President of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Vice President of the National Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies in the United States. He also serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture (USA) and as a member of the editorial board of Acupuncture Research (China). Dr. Gong has long been dedicated to the education, clinical application, and international communication of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He is the chief editor of the 20-volume series Essential Acupuncture Points of Chinese Acupuncture and the 10-volume Clinical Essence of Chinese Acupuncture series, making significant contributions to the systematic organization and modern dissemination of acupuncture knowledge. With a strong belief that meaningful dialogue between TCM and modern medicine requires a shared language, Dr. Gong advocates for explaining TCM through rigorous academic frameworks while preserving its philosophical foundations. His work emphasizes the interconnected themes of history, transmission, and innovation in TCM, highlighting how classical texts, master-apprentice lineage, and continuous innovation together sustain the vitality of Chinese medicine in the modern world.
